January 1st First Day Hikes America's State Parks

Time of Event: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Meeting Location: Meet at the Fort Frederick Visitor Center, 11100 Fort Frederick Road, Big Pool, MD 21711
Degree of Difficulty: Easy to Moderate – Natural Surface Trail with Roots and Rocks
Length of Hike: Approximate round trip distance of 2 miles
Things to bring: Bring a mug for hot cocoa or cider. Dress for the weather. Wear waterproof boots. Hike will proceed rain, snow, or shine. Check website for severe weather conditions closure.

Additional Information: Join Park Ranger Jeremiah Corbin for a tree identification hike and to learn some fun historical facts about the Plantation Trail. Dogs on a leash are welcome. This trail is not stroller friendly.
